Intestinal polyps generally have no obvious symptoms. Those with symptoms may present with bloody stools, abnormal bowel movements, abdominal pain, etc.

1. Bloody stools: Small intestinal polyps generally cause no symptoms in patients. As the polyps enlarge, bowel movements that compress and irritate the polyps can lead to polyp rupture and bleeding, which is more common in large intestinal polyps. Polyp rupture and bleeding near the anus can result in bright red bloody stools.

2. Abnormal bowel movements: Patients with intestinal polyps may experience alternating episodes of diarrhea and constipation, increased frequency of bowel movements, and symptoms such as tenesmus.

3. Abdominal pain: As polyps continue to enlarge and cause compression symptoms, abdominal pain may occur. Polyps can also lead to intestinal obstruction or intussusception, both of which may cause abdominal pain.

If intestinal polyps are detected, it is advisable to seek medical attention promptly and follow the doctor's recommendations for proper management or treatment.
