Numbness in the hands and feet after chemotherapy is caused by neurotoxicity from chemotherapy. Symptoms in most patients are generally mild to moderate. Most patients can recover on their own without feeling panicked.

Depending on the severity of the numbness, there are two approaches to address it:

1. If symptoms are severe, medications that nourish nerves can be used for treatment. Generally, the need for dose reduction is determined based on the patient's neurotoxicity grade;

2. Peripheral neurotoxicity gradually decreases after chemotherapy ends. Soaking hands and feet with certain Chinese herbal medicines can also be used for treatment. Some patients may achieve certain results as well.

Patients should also pay attention to dietary diversity and increase the intake of foods high in vitamins, such as fresh vegetables and fruits. Patients can also take some multivitamin complex medications, such as multivitamin and mineral tablets.

Medication should strictly follow the doctor's instructions; do not self-medicate.
