Everyday Tips for Treating Burns
Summer has arrived, and sometimes we accidentally get burns while cooking or pouring hot water. I believe everyone has experienced this - I certainly have. So what should we do?
Indeed, burns cause extremely intense, sharp pain. Most people's first instinct is to rinse the area with cold water - this is actually the correct approach.
However, there may still be significant pain after rinsing. In such cases, if burn ointment is available, it can be applied. Please note that the main active ingredient in such burn ointments is anesthetic, specifically lidocaine, which has a numbing effect and can help relieve the pain.
Additionally, it may contain a small amount of antibiotics to prevent bacterial infection. There are also some oils that protect the wound surface, provide pain relief, and have anti-inflammatory effects, as the inflammation will gradually subside on its own.
